Ingredients
8-10 ripe peaches
1 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup cold butter
1/2 cup milk
Non-stick cooking spray
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Wash, peel, and slice peaches into thick wedges. In a bowl, mix peach slices with 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Transfer to baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbs form. Stir in milk to create a thick batter.
Drop spoonfuls of batter over peaches. Bake for 40-45 minutes until topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbling.
Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
